To inspect or replace the engine air cleaner/filters, do the following: How to Inspect the Engine Air Cleaner/Filters (7.0L V8 Engine) To inspect the air cleaner/filters, remove the filters from the vehicle and lightly shake the filters to release loose dust and dirt. If the filters remain caked with dirt, new filters are required. 1. Remove the screws holding the filter element in place. 2. Pull on latches found on either side of the filter. 3.
