Seating and Safety Restraints 2. Lift seatback up until it locks into vertical position. 3. Return the head restraint to its original position. If the head restraint is inserted backwards, it may lock and not be removable by using the release button. If this happens use a stiff piece of wire such as a paper clip, and insert the wire into the hole on the opposite side of the release button. Depress the release button and remove the head restraint.
