It controlsthemutefeature.Bypressingthe MUTE knob,allsoundfrom theradioor CD playerstops.Bypressingtheknobagain,orbyturning the VOL knobclockwise,sound wl beginagain. i LeftrRIght Speaker Control Thecontrolbehindtheupperknoballowsyou to balance the sound between the right and left speakers.
