D If you set "REW 1", the player will rewind to the beginning of the current program. D When counting the number of programs you want to rewind, remember to count the current program as well. For example, if you want to rewind to a program that is two before the program you are listening to, push this button until "REW 3" appears on the screen. When the beginning of the tape is reached, the player automatically resumes normal play. There must be at least 5 seconds of blank space between programs for this feature to work correctly. "RPT", "SKIP" and Automatic program selection features: These features may not work well with some spoken word, live or classical recordings. Compact disc player operation (a) Playing a compact disc To insert a compact disc, push the "OPEN" button to lower the display. Put the compact disc in the slot with the label side up. The player will automatically start when you insert the compact disc. At this time, "CD" appears on the screen. If the label faces down, the disc cannot be played. In this case, "CD ERROR" appears on the screen. CAUTION NE014 D Do not place anything on the opened display, as such items may be thrown about in the compartment and possibly injure people in the vehicle during sudden braking or in an accident. D To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or sudden stop while driving, keep the display closed. D Take care not to jam your hand while the display is moving.
