STARTING AND DRIVING VEHICLE DYNAMICS INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT Vehicle dynamics integrated management (VDIM) is designed to control vehicle motion continuously using all possible functions to stabilize the motion. It is important to keep the tires in good condition for the system to properly control vehicle motion. Refer to the information for tires on pages 556 through 578. The system has the functions listed below. Each function become operative when the vehicle speed exceeds the speed listed below. D Brake assist function ...7 km/h (4 mph) D Anti−lock brake system function ...7 km/h (4 mph) D Traction control function ...0 km/h (0 mph) D Vehicle stability control function ...15 km/h (9 mph) Check surroundings for safety. If a bright light (for example, sunlight reflected off the vehicle body) is picked up by the camera, the smear effect* peculiar to the camera may occur. *: Smear effect - A phenomenon that occurs when a bright light (for example, sunlight reflected off the vehicle body) is picked up by the camera; when transmitted by the camera, the light source appears to have a vertical streak above and below it. 446
