Controls in detail Control system Drive a full circle at a vehicle speed of between 3 mph and 6 mph (5 km/h and 10 km/h). When calibration was successful, the following message appears in the multifunction display: Compass Calibration Completed Successfully Setting which display to appear with ignition switched off This function lets you determine which display you would like to appear in the multifunction display when you switch off the ignition. Move the selection marker with button æ or ç to the Vehicle submenu. Press button j or k repeatedly until the message Display when ignition is switched off appears in the multifunction display. The selection marker is on the current setting. Setting automatic locking Use this function to activate or deactivate the automatic central locking. With the automatic central locking system activated, the vehicle is centrally locked at vehicle speeds of approximately 9 mph (15 km/h). Move the selection marker with button æ or ç to the Vehicle submenu. Press button j or k repeatedly until the message Automatic door lock appears in the multifunction display. The selection marker is on the current setting. i If the message Compass Calibration Completed Successfully does not appear in the multifunction display, drive another full circle. If calibration does not succeed within 3 minutes, the message Compass Calibration appears in the multifunction display again. Calibrating the compass has failed due to outside influences. Repeat compass calibration in a different location. Press button æ or ç to select the desired setting. Press button æ or ç to switch the automatic central locking on or off. 188
