Operation Engine compartment Battery Your vehicle is equipped with two batteries: The starter battery (located in the engine compartment) The battery for electrical consumers (located in the trunk) These batteries should always be sufficiently charged in order to achieve their rated service life. Refer to Maintenance Booklet for battery maintenance intervals. If you use your vehicle mostly for short-distance trips, you will need to have the battery charge checked more frequently.
