STEERING WHEEL ● Tighten until the fuel filler cap clicks. Failure to tighten the fuel filler cap properly may cause the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) to illuminate. If the lamp illuminates because the fuel filler cap is loose or missing, tighten or install the cap and continue to drive the vehicle. The lamp should turn off after a lamp few driving trips. If the does not turn off after a few driving trips, have the vehicle inspected by a NISSAN dealer. ● For additional information, see the "Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)" in the "Instruments and Controls" section earlier in this manual. PEDAL POSITION ADJUSTMENT (if so equipped) LPD0216 WPD0316 TILT OPERATION Pull the lock lever forward and adjust the steering wheel up or down to the desired position. Push the lock lever back to lock the steering wheel in place. The accelerator and brake pedals can be adjusted for driving comfort. Use the pedal adjusting switch to adjust the brake and accelerator pedal position forward 1 or backward 2 . Pedal adjustment can only be performed when: ● Ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position ● Ignition switch is ON and the selector lever is in the P (Park) position The brake and accelerator pedals cannot be adjusted separately. WARNING Do not adjust the steering wheel while driving. You could lose control of your vehicle and cause an accident. 3-20 Pre-driving checks and adjustments
