I illuminated EntryIExit System Entry When you liftthe outside handle of either front door or open either rear door, the lights inside your vehicle will go on. These lights will gooff after about 40 seconds, or when the ignition is turned on. If the ignition was recently turned off, the lights may go off after four seconds. These lights will also go on when you press the DOOR or UNLOCK button on the optional Remote Lock Control transmitter. Exit If the ignition has been off for lessthan two minutes, the lights inside your vehicle will stayon for about 15 seconds after your key is removed from the ignition to provide an illuminated exit. When the interior lights go off, they will fade out. Remote Lock Control (OPTION) If your Oldsmobile has this option,you can lock and unlock your doors or unlock your trunk from up to30 feet (9 m) away using the key chain transmitter supplied with your vehicle. Your Remote Lock Controloperates on a radio frequency subjectto Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules. This device complieswith Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Should interference to this system occur, try this: Check to determine if battery replacement is necessary. See the instructions on battery replacement. Check the distance. You may be too far from your vehicle. This product has a maximum range. Check the location. Other vehicles or objects may be blockingthe signal. Operation The driver's door will unlock when UNLOCK is pressed. If pressed again within five seconds, all doors will unlock. All doors will lock when DOOR is pressed.
