Starting the Engine Operation The engine can be started when the transmission is in neutral, or while in gear if the clutch is disengaged. If starting a warm engine, do not use the choke. NOTE: Fuel is injected into the intake passage each time the throttle lever is depressed. Do not depress the throttle lever while starting the engine. Do not depress the throttle lever when the engine is stopped. WARNING Engine exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide and can cause loss of consciousness resulting in severe injury or death. Never run an engine in an enclosed area. CAUTION Operating the ATV immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm up for several minutes before operating. 75

Operation
Starting the Engine
The engine can be started when the transmission is in neutral, or while in gear if the clutch is

NOTE:
Fuel is injected into the intake passage each time the throttle lever is depressed. Do not
depress the throttle lever while starting the engine. Do not depress the throttle lever when the
engine is stopped.
WARNING
Engine exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide and can cause loss of consciousness
resulting in severe injury or death. Never run an engine in an enclosed area.
CAUTION
Operating the ATV immediately after starting could cause engine damage. Allow the engine to warm
up for several minutes before operating.
