64 CHAPTER 4: MANAGING DEVICE SECURITY ■ Priority - Indicates the rule priority, which determines which rule is matched to a packet on a firstmatch basis. ■ Source Address - Matches the source MAC address to which packets are addressed to the ACE. ■ Destination Address - Matches the destination MAC address to which packets are addressed to the ACE. ■ VLAN ID - Matches the packet's VLAN ID to the ACE. The possible field values are 1 to 4093. ■ CoS - Classifies Class of Service of the packet. ■ CoS Mask - Defines the wildcard bits to be applied to the CoS. ■ Ethertype - Provides an identifier that differentiates between various types of protocols. ■ Action - Indicates the ACL forwarding action. In addition, the port can be shut down, a trap can be sent to the network administrator, or packet is assigned rate limiting restrictions for forwarding. The options are as follows: ■ Permit - Forwards packets which meet the ACL criteria. ■ Deny - Drops packets which meet the ACL criteria. ■ Shutdown - Drops packet that meets the ACL criteria, and disables the port to which the packet was addressed. Ports are reactivated from the Port Administration Setup Page. 2 Select the ACL Name to be deleted. 3 Select the ACL to be removed from the table. 4 Click the Remove checkbox. 5 Click Apply. The selected ACLs are deleted, and the device is updated.
