Transferring a Call 63 To place more than one call on hold on an NBX 2101 Basic Telephone 1 Press the Hold button. 2 Make or receive a new call: ■ To obtain dial tone and make a second call: ■ If you did not hang up the handset, press and release the hook switch. ■ If you did hang up the handset, pick it up again. When you hear dial tone, dial the second call. ■ To answer a call: ■ If you did not hang up the handset, press the Call Toggle button. ■ If you did hang up the handset, pick it up again. 3 To place the second call on hold, press the Hold button. On an NBX 2101 Basic Telephone, you can place at most two calls on hold. On the NBX 2101 Basic Telephone, if you have placed two calls on hold: ■ And you did not hang up the handset, press Call Toggle to return to the call that you most recently put on hold. Then press Call Toggle again to put that call on hold and return to the second call. ■ And you did hang up the handset, pick up the handset to return to the call that you most recently put on hold. Then press Call Toggle to put the call on hold and return to the second call. Transferring a Call When you answer an incoming telephone call, the Transfer feature allows you to send that call from your telephone to any other internal line or, if your call permissions allow, to an outside line. To view your permissions, log in to NBX NetSet > User Information > Call Permissions. Your administrator can change your call permissions.

Press the
Hold
button.

Make or receive a new call:
To obtain dial tone and make a second call:
If you
did not
hang up the handset, press and release the hook
switch.
If you
did
hang up the handset, pick it up again.
When you hear dial tone, dial the second call.
To answer a call:

hold.

to return to
the call that you most recently put on hold. Then press

again to put that call on hold and return to the second call.

Transferring a Call
When you answer an incoming telephone call, the Transfer feature allows
