INSTALLATION Using the desk PDM charger for software download and synchronization of parameters is most often done by system administrators, and requires that the charger is connected either to the LAN and CPDM3 or to a PC with the WinPDM software application installed. For a short description of CPDM3 and WinPDM, see 22.5 WinPDM and CPDM3 on page 132. The desk PDM charger is connected to a PC through the USB or one of the network connectors, see figure 20 on page 129. When you connect the charger with a PC through one of the network connectors, the charger acts as a switch, making it possible to connect the other connector to the LAN. 23.3.3 23.3.4 Figure 20:Network and USB Connectors Note: Network and USB connectors are used to connect the desk PDM chargers to a PC running the WinPDM or to the LAN (not for charging).
