20 - Using the keyboard USING THE KEYBOARD The keyboard has full-sized keys, a numeric keypad, separate cursor, lock, Windows keys and hotkeys. Lock keys The keyboard has lock keys which you can use to turn keyboard functions on and off. Lock key Caps Lock Description When Caps Lock is on, all alphabetic characters typed are in uppercase. Hotkeys To activate hotkeys, press and hold the Fn key before pressing the other key in the hotkey combination. Hotkey Icon Fn + F1 Function Touchpad toggle Description Turns the built-in touchpad on and off. Fn + F2 Flight mode Turns on / off the computer's network devices. Fn + F3 Sleep Puts the computer in Sleep mode. Fn + F4 Keyboard backlight toggle Adjust the intensity of the keyboard backlight. Fn + F5 Display toggle Switches display output between the display screen, external monitor (if connected) and both. Turns the display screen Fn + F6 Display off backlight off to save power. Press any key to return. Fn + F7 Brightness Decreases the screen down brightness.
