IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave and IDE Channel 1 Master/Slave Setup The following screen appears if you select any of the IDE drive parameters: The following table describes the parameters found in this menu. Parameter Description IDE HDD Auto-Detection Auto-detects your hard disk drive. IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave Displays the device type IDE Channel 1 Master/Slave Access Mode Selects the HDD access mode Capacity Cylinder Head Precomp Landing Zone Sector Shows the size of your hard disk in MB. Shows your hard disk's number of cylinders. Shows your hard disk's number of heads Selects the Precomp number for old HDD parking Selects the Landing Zone number for old HDD parking Shows your hard disk's number of sectors Options Press Enter Auto None Manual Auto Large LBA CHS xxxxx MB 0 to 65535 0 to 255 0 to 65535 0 to 65535 0 to 255 39 Chapter 2
