Bypassing the Password If you forgot your password, you can bypass the password security feature thru hardware configuration. RTC Battery Follow these steps to bypass the password: 1. Turn off and unplug the system. 2. Open the system housing. Take off battery and short it. 3. Place on RTC battery, reboot the system and enter setup menu, to load default setting. Clear CMOS Follow these steps to bypass the password: 1. Reset CMOS, by adjusting JP2 to 2-3 2. Reboot the system. 3.
