MP3/WMA Selecting Folders Press FOLDER 8 or FOLDER 9 to select the folder. SETUP LIST RETURN :/J g FOLDER 8 FOLDER 9 REPEAT M.I.X. ; 8 : ENT. 9 f Playback The DVA-5210 will play back MP3/WMA files stored on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. The format used must be compliant with ISO 9660 level 1 or level 2. For further information about playing or storing MP3/WMA files, refer to pages 16 and 17 before using the unit. A WMA format file that is protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) cannot be played back on this unit. 1 Insert a disc containing an MP3/WMA file with the label side facing up. To load discs, see "Loading and Unloading Discs" on page 9. Playback starts. The front panel MP3/WMA indicator lights in amber during playback. 2 Press g or f to select the desired track. Returning to the beginning of the current track: Press g. Fast backward : Press and hold g. Advancing to the beginning of the next track : Press f. Fast forward : Press and hold f. 3 To pause playback, press -/J. Pressing -/J again will resume playback. • MP3/WMA playback information (folder no., file no., tag information, etc.) will be displayed on the monitor during playback. • The CD-player can play discs containing audio data, MP3 data and WMA data. • For MP3 discs, some time may be required until playback starts. • Some discs will not play back depending on the writing or MP3 conversion software used for the disc. In that case, try other software. • The unit will fast backward only the current track. • No sound is output during fast forward/fast backward. Playing MP3/WMA Data The unit can be set to play only the audio data or only the MP3/WMA files on discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data (when using discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data). 1 Press SETUP before inserting a disc. The setup menu appears on the monitor screen. CD-DA: Plays only audio data on discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data. The initial setting at the factory is CD-DA. MP3/WMA: Plays only MP3/WMA files on discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA data. 4 Press SETUP. The settings are stored and the setup mode is deactivated. • If a disc has already been inserted, perform the setting after you remove the disc. 15-EN

MP3/WMA
Playback
The DVA-5210 will play back MP3/WMA files stored on CD-ROMs,
CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. The format used must be compliant with ISO
9660 level 1 or level 2.
For further information about playing or storing MP3/WMA files,
refer to pages 16 and 17 before using the unit.
A WMA format file that is protected by DRM (Digital Rights
Management) cannot be played back on this unit.

Insert a disc containing an MP3/WMA file with the
label side facing up.
To load discs, see “Loading and Unloading Discs” on
page 9.
Playback starts. The front panel MP3/WMA indicator lights
in amber during playback.

playback.
The CD-player can play discs containing audio data, MP3 data
and WMA data.
For MP3 discs, some time may be required until playback starts.
Some discs will not play back depending on the writing or MP3
conversion software used for the disc. In that case, try other
software.
The unit will fast backward only the current track.
No sound is output during fast forward/fast backward.
