Your Internet connection has problems. • Test your Internet connection by connecting to the Internet using your computer instead of using the AirPort Extreme Base Station. After you test your Internet connection, make sure to switch your computer's TCP/IP configuration back to AirPort by choosing AirPort from the Show pop-up menu in the Network pane of System Preferences. • Some Internet service providers (lSPs) are not currently compatible with AirPort. For more information on using the AirPort Extreme Base Station with your Internet account, contact your ISP or look on the Apple Support website at www.apple.com/support. • If there is a microwave oven nearby that is used frequently, it may cause problems with your Internet connection. Try placing the base station away from the microwave oven. • Some 2.4 GHz cordless telephones may cause interference with your network. Try changing the channel the base station uses (in the AirPort pane of AirPort Admin Utility). Your Internet browser can't load the requested webpage. You may have tried to go to a webpage before the AirPort Extreme Base Station was finished connecting to your ISP. Wait until the base station is connected and then go to the webpage again. Monitor your connection with the Internet Connect application. If you are using a dialup connection, your base station may not be configured to dial automatically when you open an application that requires an Internet connection. To configure your base station to dial automatically, open AirPort Admin Utility, select your base station, and click Configure. Then click Internet and select "Automatically dial." You can also use the Internet Connect application to connect to the Internet, then open your web browser. Chapter 5 Troubleshooting
