TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE CORRECTION Does not operate in Forward / Reverse. 1. Slack in traction cable. 2. Traction belt not functioning. 3. Speed selector not adjusted properly. 4. Transmission is bypassed. 1. Loosen jam nut on cable, remove slack from cable, tighten jam nut. 2. Repair or replace traction drive belt. See Traction Drive Belt Replacement on page 28. 3. Adjust speed selector. See Speed Selector Adjustment on page 25. 4. Verify bypass rod is pushed fully forward into the frame (see Moving The Unit With the Engine Off on page 15). Unit throws snow poorly or does not throw snow. 1. Shear bolts broken. 2. Attachment clutch/brake not adjusted properly. 3. Impeller is frozen in place. 4. Ice or debris is obstructing auger. 5. Attachment drive belts slipping, worn or damaged. 1. Replace shear bolts (see Shear Bolts on page 23). 2. Adjust attachment clutch/brake (see Attachment Clutch/Brake Adjustment on page 25). 3. Move unit to a warm place to thaw. 4. With the engine off and auger disengaged, check for obstructions and remove. 5. Adjust or replace attachment drive belts (see Attachment Drive Belts Replacement on page 27). EN - 32
