4 . Serial ATA RAID connectors (7-pin SATA_RAID1 [red], SATA_RAID2 [red], SATA_RAID3 [red], SATA_RAID4 [red]) These connectors are for Serial ATA signal cables. These connectors support up to four Serial ATA hard disk drives that you can configure as a disk array through the onboard SATA RAID controller. Refer to Chapter 5 for details on how to set up Serial ATA RAID configurations. These connectors are set to R A I D M o d e by default. If you want to connect Serial ATA boot/data hard disk drives to these connectors, set the S i l i c o n S A T A C o n t r o l l e r item in the BIOS to [Disabled]. See section "4.4.3 Onboard Device Configuration" for details. See Chapter 5 for details. The RAID 5 feature is not Windows® Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL)-certified.
