2 Knowing the Parts Cooling Fans and Air Vents The cooling fans bring cool air over the heatsinks to dissipate heat in vital areas of the Notebook PC. Do not block the air vents or else overheating may occur! CPU Compartment The CPU compartment contains a socket for mounting a central processing unit. CPU installation/ upgrades must be done by an authorized retailer or else warranty will be void. Audio Speaker This built-in speaker allows you to hear audio without additional attachments. The multimedia sound system features an integrated digital audio controller that produces rich, vibrant sound. Stereo audio matches that of audio players when used with headphones or external powered speakers. All audio features are software controlled. Battery Pack and Locks Usage details are described in the battery section later in this manual. Hard Disk Drive Compartment The hard disk drive is secured in a compartment under a metal plate. Hard disk drive upgrades are to be done by authorized service centers or dealers only. 19

CPU Compartment
The CPU compartment contains a socket for mounting a central processing unit. CPU installation/
