Messaging 6-4 Using Messenger To sign in and out Windows® Live Messenger 1. Set e-mail address and password in Windows® Live. 2. When the setting is finished, from the Home screen, press Start > More > Messenger. 3. On the Windows® �L�i�v�e� Messenger main screen, press Sign In. 4. To sign out, press Menu > Sign Out. NOTE If you do not sign out Windows® Live Messenger, you will remain connected. This may result in additional charges from your service provider. Common Messenger features TO Add a contact Delete a contact Send an instant message Add other people to a conversation Switch to another chat session Return to the contacts list DO THIS Press Menu > Add new contact, and follow the instructions on the screen. Select the contact to delete and press Menu > Contact options > Remove Contact. Select the recipient for the instant message from the displayed window at the bottom of the screen. Enter your message and press Send. From a chat session, press Menu > Options > Add participant, then select a contact. In the list of ongoing chats displayed at the bottom of screen, select the name of a contact with whom to chat. The contact list is on the left of the screen. 47
