4.1.3 ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility The ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 is an auto recovery tool that allows you to restore the BIOS file when it fails or gets corrupted during the updating process. You can update a corrupted BIOS file using the USB flash drive or the floppy disk that contains the updated BIOS file. • Prepare the USB flash drive or the floppy disk containing the updated motherboard BIOS before using this utility. • Make sure that you rename the original or updated BIOS file to "P5GCMR. rom". Recovering the BIOS from a floppy disk To recover the BIOS from a floppy disk: 1. Turn on the system. 2. Insert the floppy disk with the original or updated BIOS file to the floppy disk drive. 3. The ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 is an auto recovery tool that allows you to restore
the BIOS file when it fails or gets corrupted during the updating process. You can
update a corrupted BIOS file using the USB flash drive or the floppy disk that
contains the updated BIOS file.
Recovering the BIOS from a floppy disk
To recover the BIOS from a floppy disk:
1.
Turn on the system.
2.
Insert the floppy disk with the original or updated BIOS file to the floppy disk
drive.
3.
The utility will automatically recover the BIOS. It will reset the system when
the process finished.
Prepare the
USB flash drive
or the floppy disk containing the updated
motherboard BIOS before using this utility.
