® PU-DLS 10. SMBus connector (6-1 pin J5) This connector allows you to connect SMBus (System Management Bus) devices. Devices communicate with an SMBus host and/or other SMBus devices using the SMBus interface. SMBus is a specific implementation of an I2C bus, a multi-device bus that allows multiple chips to connect to the same bus and enable each one to act as a master by initiating data transfer. J5 1 PU-DLS SMBus Connector 11. Zero Channel RAID slot (PCIX1) The 64-bit/100MHz PCI-X slot (colored green on PU-DLS, colored white on PU-DL) supports the Adaptec Nighthawk2 ASR-2010S ZeroChannel RAID card or the Intel RAID Controller SRCZCR to provide advanced RAID functionality. The RAID card supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, multilevel 0/1 and 0/5, cache memory modules with ECC, and predictive caching capability. SMBCLK Ground SMBDATA +3V ® PU-DLS PU-DLS Zero-Channel RAID Zero Channel RAID (ZCR) functions are not supported on PU-DL models. PU-DL motherboards support other PCI-X add-on cards on the PCIX1. 2-24 Chapter 2: Hardware information
