Failure to do so may cause severe damage to both the motherboard and the components. • Re-install the CPU fan and heatsink assembly before installing the DIMM(s) to avoid damaging the memory module(s). Follow these steps to install a DIMM. 1. Locate the DIMM sockets in the motherboard. 2. Unlock a DIMM socket by pressing the retaining clips outward. 3.
