Unlock the battery power. UnLock Lock 2. Connect the AC Power Adapter 3 1 2 3. Open the Display Panel 1 Display release latch 4. Turn ON the Notebook PC 3 2 Slide the display release latch to unlock. Lift the display panel with one hand while holding the system portion with your other hand. Press the power button and release. (In Windows XP, this button can also be used to safely turn OFF the Notebook PC.) WARNING! When opening, do not force the display panel down to the table or else the hinges may break! Never lift the Notebook PC by the display panel! 9

Preparing your Notebook PC

1. Unlock the battery power.

4. Turn ON the Notebook PC
2. Connect the AC Power Adapter
Press the power button and release.
(In Windows XP, this button can also be used to
