2.7.2 Internal connectors 1. Floppy disk drive connector (34-1 pin FLOPPY1) (Z8PE-D12X only) This connector is for the provided floppy disk drive (FDD) signal cable. Insert one end of the cable to this connector, then connect the other end to the signal connector at the back of the floppy disk drive. 2. Serial ATA connectors (7-pin SATA1, SATA2, SATA3, SATA4; RED) (7-pin SATA5, SATA6; Black) Supported by the Intel® ICH10R chipset, these connectors are for the Serial ATA signal cables for Serial ATA hard disk drives that allows up to 3Gb/s of data transfer rate. If you installed Serial ATA hard disk drives, you can create a RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 10, or RAID 5 configuration. This connector is for the provided floppy disk drive (FDD) signal cable. Insert
one end of the cable to this connector, then connect the other end to the
signal connector at the back of the floppy disk drive.

Serial ATA connectors
(7-pin SATA1, SATA2, SATA3, SATA4; RED)
(7-pin SATA5, SATA6; Black)
Supported by the Intel
®
ICH10R chipset, these connectors are for the Serial
ATA signal cables for Serial ATA hard disk drives that allows up to 3Gb/s of
data transfer rate.
If you installed Serial ATA hard disk drives, you can create a RAID 0, RAID 1,
RAID 10, or RAID 5 configuration.
The actual data transfer rate depends on the speed of Serial ATA hard disks
installed.
