By default, the system detects the first priority device. The device detection priority is as follows: PCIe M.2 > SATA Mode M.2 > PCIe SATA Express > SATA Mode SATA Express > SATA devices. SATA Mode Selection [AHCI] This item allows you to set the SATA configuration. [Disabled] Disables the SATA function. [IDE Mode] Set to [IDE Mode] when you want to use the Serial ATA hard disk drives as Parallel ATA physical storage devices. [AHCI Mode] Set to [AHCI Mode] when you want the SATA hard disk drives to use the AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface). The AHCI allows the onboard storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features that increases storage performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to internally optimize the order of commands. [RAID Mode] Set to [RAID Mode] when you want to create a RAID configuration from the SATA hard disk drives. The following item appears only when you set the SATA Mode Selection to [RAID]. Pcie Nand Configuration [Auto] This item allows you to enable or disable PCIe NAND. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] Aggressive LPM Support [Disabled] This item is designed for LPM (link power management) support with a better energy saving conditions. When disabled, the hot plug function of SATA ports are disabled. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled] S.M.A.R.T. Status Check [Enabled] S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a monitoring system that shows a warning message during POST (Power-on Self Test) when an error occurs in the hard disks. Configuration options: [On] [Off] Hot Plug [Disabled] (SATA6G_1 - SATA6G_6) These items allow you to enable/disable SATA Hot Plug Support.
