If you do not enter your authorization code or your serial number, the product will be installed as an evaluation copy. You will then have 30 days to try out the program, after which it will expire unless you purchase the product and enter a serial number and authorization code. During the 30-day evaluation period, the Authorization Reminder dialog box will appear every time you start Autodesk MapGuide Author. From this dialog box, you can access the dialog box in which you enter your authorization code. Starting Autodesk MapGuide Author To work with your map, you need to gain access to your server (for example, log on to your network so that you have access to the server) before you start Autodesk MapGuide Author. If you do not currently have access to the Autodesk MapGuide Server, you can still start Autodesk MapGuide Author, but you will be limited in what you can do. For example, you will not be able to access any databases or browse for spatial data located on other machines.
