kQ-START (Quick-Start Mode) Unit will bypass the power up test sequence and will display the last selected traveling mode:"Au t o Sc a n ™" (factory default) "Hi g h w a y ", "Cit y X" or "Cit y ALL". Q-Start is recommended when you are comfortable with the detector and do not require a rundown of sample messages. Unit is ready for operation and will display Radar, Laser and SWS™ messages when signals are detected. kTECH MODE (Displays Frequency Received) Presents audio and text messages followed by the display of the ACTUAL frequency of the received radar bandwidth and Laser. Unit is ready for operation and will display Radar, Laser and SWS™ messages - including actual frequencies - when signals are detected. Sample alerts while operating in Tech Mode: Laser Alert: "LASER 900NM" X Band Alert: "X BAND" followed by "10.525" K Band Alert: "K BAND" followed by "24.150" Ka Band Alert: "Ka BAND" followed by any frequency between 33.4 - 36.0 GHz. kV-METER (Voltage Meter Mode) Presents a continuous, digital readout of your vehicle's battery voltage (10.5 volt to 15.5 volt range). If voltage rises above 15.5, the display will flash "HI VOLT" until the problem with your vehicle is corrected. If voltage falls below 10.5 volts, display will flash "LOW VOLT" until the problem with your vehicle is corrected. Note: during continuous readout of your vehicle's battery voltage, you'll notice the mode of operation you're traveling will be illuminated in the 6 left hand corner of the display in abbreviated form: Autoscan: As Highway: H City X: Cx City ALL: CA
