Operation Power cord The power cord is located on the right of the vacuum. Gently pull out the power cord, watching for the yellow line. Stop pulling the power cord once the yellow line is visible. There is also a red line, which indicates the end of the usable cord. Do not pull the power cord out beyond the red line. Automatic cord rewind Your vacuum is equipped with an automatic cord rewind. When cleaning is finished, press the power button OFF and grasp the plug to disconnect from the electrical outlet. Hold the plug and press the automatic cord rewind button to rewind the cord automatically. Maintenance and care CAUTION: Be careful to avoid injury as cord retracts very quickly. To maintain maximum cleaning performance, the following maintenance steps must be performed: 1. Empty the dirt container when the dirt reaches the "Full" line on the side. 2. Check the inner and outer circular filters and the pre-motor filter at least once a month and clean or replace as needed. 3. Check and replace the HEPA media post-motor filter as needed. Note: More frequent filter cleaning or replacing may be necessary if you are vacuuming new carpet, fine dust, or have allergy concerns. Follow the instructions on the following pages to perform these simple maintenance steps. Empty Dirt Container The dirt container needs to be emptied when the dirt reaches the "Full" line on the side of the container. 1. Turn power off. Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch OFF and disconnect polarized plug from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
