Switching off and disconnecting the appliance Switching off the appliance q Pull out the main plug. Disconnecting the appliance If the appliance is not used for a prolonged period: q Take all food out of the appliance. q Cut off the water supply. q Empty the ice cube container (see Cleaning the appliance"). q Run off the remaining drinking water. q Pull out the main plug. q Remove the water filter. i Before switching on the appliance again, install a new water filter! q Clean the appliance interior (see Cleaning the appliance"). To prevent odors, leave the doors open. d CAUTION d If there is a risk of frost, have a technician empty the water container for the drinking water dispenser (see installation instructions). If moving house Remove all detachable parts and pack each one carefully. Secure the doors and flaps with adhesive tape and transport the appliance in an upright position. 10 Functions Door alarm If refrigerator compartment door is left open, an alarm signal sounds after one minute and is repeated every 60 seconds for 5 minutes. Interior light automatically switches off If refrigerator compartment door is left open for longer than 10 minutes, the interior light automatically switches off to prevent overheating. This saves energy. q Raise the cover slightly on the butter and cheese compartment, press to the left and remove. Variable interior q Pull drawers forwards, raise slightly and remove. design You can vary the shelves inside the appliance and the containers in the door to suit your requirements. q Pull the shelf forwards and remove. q Lift the container and remove.
