Time programming function d This function may be used in two different ways: - to switch an element off automatically - as a timer WARNING: The timer should not be used as a safety measure in order to leave the cooktop unsupervised during use, especially at high temperatures. Breaded items can smoke. Overheated food and oil can catch on fire. Supervise the cooktop even if the time program is on. Switching off a cooking element automatically To program: Enter the time period for the desired element. The element will switch off automatically once this time has elapsed. The cooktop must be switched on. 1. Select the cooking element and heat setting required. Then press the Timer symbol. The kk and min indicators light up on the timer function display. 2. Press the + or - symbol on the timer function. The basic settings are displayed. + symbol: 30 minutes - symbol:10 minutes Once the cooking time has elapsed Changing the time Canceling the automatic OFF function 3. Program the desired time using the + or - symbol. After a few seconds, the timer will start to count down. The last programmed cooking time will appear on the display. The cooking element switches off. A warning beep sounds. 0 appears on the element display and 00 appears on the timer display. The indicators switch off and the display beep turns off by pressing the Timer symbol. Press the Timer symbol until the R indicator lights up on the desired cooking element. Adjust the cooking time using the + or - symbols corresponding to the timer function. Press the Timer symbol until the R indicator lights up on the desired cooking element. Then press the - symbol corresponding to the timer function until kk appears. The R indicator goes out. 20
