How to take care of your thermal carafe 1. The vacuum lining of the carafe is made of glass, so avoid any extreme changes of temperature, i.e. from very cold to hot or vice versa. 2. If you rinse out the thermal carafe with hot water before you place it on the coffeemaker, your cups of coffee will be hotter. 3. If the thermal carafe no longer seals properly, tighĆ ten the base by turning it clockwise slightly. The glass lining of the carafe has been manufactured by hand which can give rise to streaks on its surface. These have no effect on its operation. CAUTION Broken glass is not covered by the warranty. 10
