10.Press the ON button for the desired number of cups (2-4 or 5-8). The corresponding indicator light comes on. When all the water has passed through, the coffeemaker switches off automatically and the indicator light goes out. The coffeemaker can be switched off prematurely by pressing the OFF button. Approx. 1 minute after the coffeemaker has switched off, the remaining coffee will have passed through the filter and the thermal carafe can then be lifted off. The drip stop prevents any more coffee dripping from the base of the filter. 11.In order to pour the coffee out of the carafe, turn the lid so that the dot is opposite the spout. CAUTION The coffeemaker must be left to cool down for approx. 5 minutes before you add more water. Make sure the carafe is completely empty before brewing another pot or the carafe will overflow. 8
