KNOWING YOUR SEWING MACHINE CAUTION ● After adjusting the stitch width, slowly turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise) and check that the needle does not touch the presser foot. If the needle hits the presser foot, the needle may bend or break. ● If the stitches are bunched together, increase the stitch length. Continuing to sew with the stitches bunched together may result in the needle bending or breaking. Reverse sewing lever You can use reverse sewing for back tacking and reinforcing seams. To sew in reverse, push the reverse sewing lever in as far as possible and hold it in that position while you lightly push the foot controller. To sew forward, release the reverse sewing lever. If you use bobbins from other models, the machine will not work properly. Only use the bobbin that comes with this machine or bobbins of the same type (part code: SA156, SFB: XA5539-151). CAUTION
Reverse sewing lever
You can use reverse sewing for back tacking and
reinforcing seams.
To sew in reverse, push the reverse sewing lever in as
far as possible and hold it in that position while you
lightly push the foot controller. To sew forward, release
the reverse sewing lever. The machine will then sew
forward.
