It is used on blouses and children's clothing. This stitch is more decorative when thicker thread is used. Use an iron to fold the two pieces of fabric a along their seams. Baste the two pieces of fabric, separated by b about 4 mm (3/16 inch), onto thin paper or a sheet of water-soluble stabilizer. If you draw a line down the middle of the thin paper or water-soluble stabilizer, sewing is easier. 3 Stitch Width [mm (inch)] Auto Manual Stitch Length [mm (inch)] Auto Manual Presser Foot 6.0 1.5-7.0 1.6 1.0-4.0 (15/64) (1/16-1/4) (1/16) (1/16-3/16) N 5.0 1.5-7.0 1.6 1.0-4.0 (3/16) (1/16-1/4) (1/16) (1/16-3/16) 4.0 0.0-7.0 3.0 2.0-4.0 (3/16) (0-1/4) (1/8) (1/16-3/16) 4.0 0.0-7.0 2.5 1.0-4.0 (3/16) (0-1/4) (3/32) (1/16-3/16) J 5.5 0.0-7.0 1.6 1.0-4.0 (7/32) (0-1/4) (1/16) (1/16-3/16) 5.0 1.5-7.0 1.0 0.2-4.0 (3/16) (1/16-1/4) (1/16) (1/64-3/16) N Select stitch 32 d or 33 . • For details, refer to "Selecting stitching" (page 72).
