Summary of Settings RX (Reception) SETTINGS Menu For details on accessing the settings below, see p. 10-3. Default settings are shown in bold type. Setting Description Sub-Settings ECM RX RX MODE INCOMING RING RING COUNT Enables/disables Error Correction Mode (ECM) during ON reception. OFF Selects the receive mode (1 p. 5-2). If you select FAX/TEL AUTO SW or DRPD, you can select additional sub-settings (1 User's Guide). FAX/TEL AUTO SW FAX ONLY MODE DRPD When the RX MODE setting is set to FAX ONLY MODE OFF or FAX/TEL AUTO SW, this setting enables/disables ON ringing when the machine receives a call.* Selects the number of rings before the machine begins 2 TIMES receiving. (1 to 99) MAN/AUTO SWITCH F/T RING TIME REMOTE RX REMOTE RX ID MEMORY RX RX PAGE FOOTER When the receive mode is set to MANUAL MODE, this OFF setting determines if the machine switches to fax ON receive mode after it rings for a specified time. If you select ON above, this setting selects the length of 15 SEC time the machine rings before switching to fax receive (1 to 99) mode. Enables/disables remote receiving. ON OFF If you select ON above, this setting selects the remote 25 receiving ID. (00 to 99) Enables/disables reception of a document in the ON machine's memory when a problem occurs. OFF Enables/disables printing of the reception date and time, transaction number (TX/RX NO.), and page number at the bottom of each received fax page.
