Additional Information The lens cover is not fully closed. Turn the camcorder off, then on again. - The lens cover did not close completely when you set the camcorder to a playback mode. Turn the camcorder off and then on again. If the problem persists, contact a Canon Service Center. The lens cover is not fully open. Turn the camcorder off, then on again. - The lens cover did not open completely when you set the camcorder to a recording mode. Turn the camcorder off and then on again. If the problem persists, contact a Canon Service Center. This photo could not be deleted - Protected photos ( ) cannot be deleted. Remove the protection ( 70). This photo cannot be displayed - You may not be able to display photos taken with other devices or image files created or edited on a computer. Too many photos. Disconnect the USB cable. - Disconnect the USB cable. Try using a memory card reader or decrease the number of photos on the memory card (Windows: fewer than 1,800 photos, Macintosh: fewer than 1,000 photos). If a dialog box appeared on the computer screen, close it and then reconnect the USB cable. Transfer order error - You attempted to set more than 998 transfer orders. Reduce the number of photos marked with transfer orders. Unable to recognize the data - You transferred data to the camcorder recorded in a different television system (PAL or SECAM). Unable to recover data - Could not recover a corrupted file. - This message can also appear if condensation has formed ( completely before resuming use. 121). Check the disc. - During disc recording mode, this message can appear when a commercially available DVD disc (a DVD disc containing movies, software, etc.) or an 8 cm mini DVD disc is inserted. - During disc playback mode, this message can appear when a commercially available DVD disc or a brand new DVD disc is inserted. Close the memory card slot cover - The memory card slot cover is open. Close the cover after correctly inserting the memory card ( 32). Connect the compact power adapter - The camcorder is being powered by the battery pack. Connect the compact power adapter to the camcorder. Disc access failure. Check the disc. - There was an error when reading the disc or attempting to write onto it. - This message can appear also if condensation has formed ( 121). Wait until the DVD burner dries completely before resuming use. 112
