Using Cover or Sheet Insertion Options You can add front and back covers, sheet insertions, or chapter pages to the document using a paper source different from that used for body pages. You can also insert tab paper into the document. NOTE 3 To use these options, you need to specify the printer controller version. (See "Configuring the Device Function Settings," on p. 2-50.) Basic Print Options Adding Front or Back Covers to the Document (Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/Server 2003) You can add front and back covers to documents when printing. Also, you can specify on which side of the front or back cover to print, separately. NOTE • Depending on the controller version of the printer you are using, this option may not be available. • This option is not available for the Color imageRUNNER C2000 series, imageRUNNER 2000/1600, imageRUNNER 2010F, imageRUNNER 2016, imageRUNNER 2020, imageRUNNER 400/330, imageRUNNER 400/330-P1/R1, imageRUNNER 600/550/60, imageCLASS 2300, LASER CLASS 700 series, LBP-2000, and MF7280. • If [Group] or [Rotate] is selected for [Finishing] in the [Finishing] sheet, or [Disabled] is selected for [Spooling at Host] in the [Configuration] sheet (Windows 98/Me) or [Device Settings] sheet (Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003), this option is not available. • If [Store] is selected for [Output Method], this option may not be available depending on the printer model or the controller version of the printer. 1 From the printer properties dialog box, click the [Paper Source] tab. 3-38 Using Cover or Sheet Insertion Options
