4 Open the Paper Output Tray and Top Cover, and then pull down the Inner Cover. Print Head Holder The Print Head Holder moves to the center when the Top Cover is opened. Be careful not to touch it while it is moving. Push the upper center ( ) of the Front Cover to open the Paper Output Tray. Print Head Lock Lever Support the Front Cover with your hand when opening the tray. 5 Remove the tape. 6 Raise the Print Head Lock Lever. Do not touch internal parts other than the Print Head Lock Lever. Serial number location For the customers in the United States Write down the serial number located to the right of the print head holder. You will need this later to register the product. 7 Remove the print head from its package. 10

Open the Paper Output Tray and Top
Cover, and then pull down the Inner
Cover.
Push the upper center (
) of the Front Cover to
open the Paper Output Tray.

Remove the tape.

Raise the Print Head Lock Lever.
Do not touch internal parts other than the Print Head
Lock Lever.

Remove the print head from its
package.
The Print Head Holder moves to the center when the

Support the Front Cover with your hand when
opening the tray.

Write down the serial number located to the right of
the print head holder. You will need this later to
register the product.
