36 Shooting Using the Flash Auto The flash fires automatically as required by the light level. Red-Eye Reduction A series of flashes are fired to reduce the red-eye phenomenon. On A flash fires with every shot. Off A flash will not fire. The flash timing is adjusted to slow shutter speeds. Slow-Synchro This reduces the chance that the background will be dark when shots are taken at night or in rooms with artificial lighting. Use of a tripod is recommended. 1.
