Count the Number of Document Sheets This function counts the number of document sheets before scanning. Count-Only Mode The number of loaded document sheets is counted by simply feeding them through the scanner. Hint The Count-Only Mode is executed from the operation panel, and can be used to count document sheets even when no computer is connected. 1 Place the document. 2 Press the Menu key on the operation panel. User Mode is activated. "User Mode Operations" (See p. 60) 3 Press the ▲▼ keys to select [Count Only], and press [OK]. Count-Only Mode is enabled. Hint If "Count Only" is assigned to the Function key, press the Function key to enable Count-Only Mode. "Assigning a Function to the Function Key" (See p. 58) 4 Press the ▲▼ keys to select [Start], and press [OK]. Document counting starts. Hint To stop document feeding, press the Stop key. Verify Scan The scanner compares the document page count obtained from the Count-Only Mode (or entered manually) with the actual count of document pages scanned, and an error message is displayed if the two counts do not match. 1 Open the scanner driver's setting screen. (See p. 76) 2 On the [Feeding] tab sheet, select the [Verify Count] check box. 56

Count the Number of Document
Sheets
This function counts the number of document sheets before scanning.
Count-Only Mode
The number of loaded document sheets is counted by simply feeding
them through the scanner.
Hint
The Count-Only Mode is executed from the operation panel, and can
be used to count document sheets even when no computer is
connected.

Place the document.

Press the Menu key on the operation panel.
User Mode is activated.

Press the
▲▼
keys to select [Count Only], and press
[OK].
Count-Only Mode is enabled.
Hint
If "Count Only" is assigned to the Function key, press the Function
key to enable Count-Only Mode.

keys to select [Start], and press [OK].
Document counting starts.
Hint
To stop document feeding, press the Stop key.
Verify Scan
The scanner compares the document page count obtained from the
Count-Only Mode (or entered manually) with the actual count of
document pages scanned, and an error message is displayed if the
two counts do not match.
