Configuring Your Wireless Network Wireless > Wireless Security 6 WPA Personal Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a security mode that uses a shared key to restrict access to authorized users. NOTE If you are using WPA, always remember that each device in your wireless network MUST use the same WPA method and shared key, or else the network will not function properly. Figure 27 Wireless Security > WPA Personal • WPA Algorithms: WPA supports two encryption methods, TKIP and AES, with dynamic encryption keys. Select the type of algorithm, TKIP or AES. The default is TKIP. • WPA Shared Key: Enter a WPA Shared Key of 8-63 characters. • Group Key Renewal: Enter a Group Key Renewal period, which instructs the WRP400 how often it should change the encryption keys. WPA Personal
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a security mode that uses a shared key to restrict
access to authorized users.
NOTE
If you are using WPA, always remember that each device in your wireless network
MUST use the same WPA method and shared key, or else the network will not
function properly.
