Insufficient space on nonshared drives for MSCS. Operating system is incorrect or deficient. Hardware does not support clustering. Primary IP address is invalid. The physical disk resource(s) cannot be brought online. Cluster nodes need to be rebooted. Hardware errors or communications transport problems. You may not have waited long enough to view the most up-todate data. Cluster Administrator takes a snapshot of the registry when it starts up. Action Ensure there is enough free disk space for the MSCS installation files. Ensure Windows NT 4.0 and appropriate service pack are installed. Ensure the hardware supports clustering. Run Compaq Cluster Verification Utility (CCVU) to verify that the hardware supports clustering. Verify that the addresses are valid. If DHCP is used to obtain noncluster IP addresses, run IPConfig.exe to ensure the network adapter cards have valid IP addresses. If the second IP address listed is 0.0.0.0, your primary address is invalid. Reboot cluster nodes after installing MSCS. Use Event Viewer to verify no hardware errors or transport problems exist. Check the event log for disk I/O error messages or indications of problems with the communications transport. Wait a minute, then click Refresh (F5). continued
