Removing the Large Access Panel CAUTION: Do not operate the server with the large access panel removed. This panel is an integral part of the cooling system and removing it while the system is running may adversely affect data integrity. To remove the large access panel: 1. If the computer is on, turn it off and disconnect the power cord. 2. Disconnect any other external equipment connected to the computer. 3. Open the front bezel. 4. Loosen the two thumbscrews located on the left side of the front chassis. 5. Slide the large access panel toward the rear of the unit 0.5 inch (1.5 cm). 6. Lift and remove the panel.
