Note: It is recommended that you use an Ethernet connection to configure the TM-G5240 wireless router. I can't connect to the Internet Check the lights for the TM-G5240. • Power light - solid green • Internet light - blinking green • Port light (any port 1-4) - blinking green for data activity or solid green for no activity but has good connection Confirm that all cables are connected correctly and securely. • The modem is connected to your high speed internet connection. • The modem is connected to the Internet port of the TM-G5240. • The computer is connected to one of the numbered ports (1-4) on the TM-G5240. • The TM-G5240's power adapter is connected to an electrical outlet. Power off all devices (unplug if needed) and power on each device in the following order: • Cable or DSL modem • TM-G5240 • Computer If you have a static IP address, make sure your computer's Internet settings are set to DHCP for the initial setup. See How do I assign static IP address section in this manual. 73

Troubleshooting
Introduction
This section provides solutions to problems that can occur during the installation and
operation of the TM-G5240.
Note:
It is recommended that you use an Ethernet connection to configure the TM-G5240
wireless router.
I can’t connect to the Internet
Check the lights for the TM-G5240.
Power light
– solid green
Internet light
– blinking green
Port light (any port 1-4)
– blinking green for data activity or solid green for no activity
but has good connection
Confirm that all cables are connected correctly and securely.
The modem is connected to your high speed internet connection.
The modem is connected to the Internet port of the TM-G5240.
The computer is connected to one of the numbered ports (1-4) on the TM-G5240.
The TM-G5240’s power adapter is connected to an electrical outlet.
