15. Click Next. 16. If you installed a new cartridge, continue with Aligning Ink Cartridges. Aligning Ink Cartridges Typically, you only align print cartridges after installing or replacing a cartridge. However, you may also need to align ink cartridges when characters are not properly formed or are not aligned at the left margin, or when vertical or straight lines appear wavy.
