You do not need to configure the management port on the peer RPM to be able to telnet to it. Telnet to a device with an IPv4 or IPv6 address. If you do not enter an IP address, FTOS enters a Telnet dialog that prompts you for one. • Enter an IPv4 address in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D). • Enter an IPv6 address in the format 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000.
