After working inside your computer, follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 9. Procedure 1 Align the screw holes on the palm rest with the screw holes on the computer base. 2 Press down on the palm rest to snap it into place. 3 Slide the touchpad cable and the power-button cable into the connectors on the system board and press down on the connector latches to secure the cables. 4 Replace the screws that secure the palm rest to the system board. 5 Close the display and turn the computer over. 6 Replace the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer base. Postrequisites 1 Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 23. 2 Follow step 4 to step 5 in "Replacing the Optical-Drive Assembly" on page 17. 3 Follow step 3 and step 4 in "Replacing the Memory Module(s)" on page 14. 4 Replace the battery. Procedure
1
Align the screw holes on the palm rest with the screw holes on the computer base.
2
Press down on the palm rest to snap it into place.
3
Slide the touchpad cable and the power-button cable into the connectors on the
system board and press down on the connector latches to secure the cables.
4
Replace the screws that secure the palm rest to the system board.
5
Close the display and turn the computer over.
6
Replace the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer base.
